Ben TeKamp: Experienced Leadership for Brockville's Future

NEW FOR 2010

This year's municipal election will be different than all others in several ways.

First, it's an election at large. There are no more wards, and instead of polling stations, a limited number of "Help Centres" will be available, one at City Hall, the other at St. Lawrence College.

Second, this year voting will be electronic. You can use either a touch tone phone, or any device connected to the internet. This also means that you can vote from the comfort of your home.

Third, voting will commence on October 18th. This is similar to the old advance poll, except that you can vote at any time, 24 hours a day, from 8:00 am on October 18th until 8:00 pm on October 25th.

Fourth, you will need a PIN (Personal Identification Number) that will be mailed to you in October. The PIN is essential when you vote electronically. If you do not receive this mailing, or worry that you've been left off the voter's list, you can go to City Hall and seek assistance. Don't forget to take proper photo identification such as a passport or driver's license. You will also need proof of residence. Above all, don't forget to vote!

Please contact Ben TeKamp's Campaign office at 613-342-2010 with any questions you might have about the election or voting process.

Testimonial

"Ben TeKamp exemplifies the sterling qualities of integrity, sincerity, and dependability that are the hallmarks of a valued leader representing Brockville in attracting investment and jobs.

He has repeatedly demonstrated that he can earn the respect of a council enabling open, transparent and collaborative decision making. His adept oversight of the bureaucracy portrayed Brockville as being "open for business". Ben's passion for mentoring young entrepreneurs is second only to his passion to see Brockville seize upon her potential to further develop a lifestyle that is more appealing to an emerging market of early retires and the associated service industry jobs that will revitalize Brockville's historic downtown.

The prospect of his steady hand once more upon the tiller, has inspired two of Brockville's "Citizen(s) of the Year" Dave Beatty and Mary Jean McFall to seek a seat on Council. Quality will attract Quality."
